The league will start with every player having access to one HQ slot, two Troops option slots and one misc slot that can be filled with any unit. This is to help new players learn the rules better as they wont have too many units to memorize the strategy, gameplay and layers of rules. This will be in a mega battle format with loyalist VS traitors, then going to team battles with a point limit and then single 1V1 battles to end off the campaign.
Phase one (mega battles):
1 command slot
2 troops slot – one as a prime slot
1 Free slot for any unit (not LOW, high command or Primarch)
Phase two will have the mega battle split up into team battles with each person per team getting 1500 points to play with , for a total of 3000 points for the team. This will allow players to learn how to army build and play within the rules limit but also have a partner to work with who can help along the way. This will follow the organizational chart in the Horus heresy rulebook for units.
Phase two (team battles):
-Each player is given 1500 points to build their respected half of the team list
-Team combined must be 3000 or less
-Point sharing is allowed
Phase 3 will go into full single player battles, with each player having a 3000-point list doing 1V1 battles as stated in the rulebook. This phase WILL allow lords of war and primarch slots to be used if eligible. This is where new players will know the rules and game format and can utilize their previous games knowledge to help them get victories in a more independent way.
Phase Three (1V1 battles):
-3000-point limit
-All slots available
Schedule:
Start date May 16th, 2026, Mega battle to launch the campaign, then team battles will start 2 weeks after and keep a bi-weekly schedule as players are available. Phase 2 runs for 4 weeks (3 games in the phase). Then afterwards we will go into single player 1V1 battles keeping the bi-weekly schedule as player availability allows.
